Research Interests

My work draws on museum specimens and genetic data to resolve systematic relationships and taxonomy in a variety of mammals. I am also active in field surveys and have worked in Australia, Kenya, Malaysia, and Vanuatu. In addition to mammals, I have worked in the past on the systematics and ecology of marine invertebrates and moths.

Some mammals I am currently studying include olingos (Bassaricyon), echidnas (Zaglossus), honey possums (Tarsipes), and Kenyan small mammals, particularly the rodents Mus and Zelotomys.
