Research Interests

Biogeography, dispersal, evolution, phylogenomics, radiations

My postdoctoral research at the Smithsonian focuses on the Pantropical disjunction of Cissus, the largest genus of the grape family (Vitaceae). This project will hopefully shed new light on radiation in the Neotropics and the dispersions of this genus in the Southern Hemisphere after the break-up of Gondwana.
