Giant squid are distributed in all the oceans of the world. They have been recorded from the far North Atlantic, off Newfoundland and eastern Canada. Certainly in Norway, Scotland, and Ireland. Down around South Africa, around South America, and certainly in the Pacific. In Japan, around Australia, and especially in New Zealand waters. So they do occur really all around the world in certain zones of these oceans. |
