If we don't find the Giant squid during this expedition, that is if we are unable to get images of the giant squid, I will be disappointed but I will not consider the expedition a failure; no not in any way. Because the habitat that we will be exploring, where will be conducting our research and filming is an area in New Zealand that has never before been explored with a deep diving submersible.

Every time we go into the deep sea, we find new and interesting and important organisms and habitats and information. I have every reason to believe that this will be the case during our expedition this time. So while we might not find the giant squid we certainly will find organisms and information that are extremely interesting and extremely important in adding to our database and knowledge about the last unexplored ecosystem on earth, the deep sea.
