Hunters on the Grasslands
Like their North American counterparts, Tehuelche hunters pursued their prey
on foot before they acquired horses. They hunted guanaco and rhea, a flightless
bird. Instead of bows and arrows, they used boleadoras that immobilized the
animals by encircling their legs.
