Shenandoah Salamander
Plethodon shenandoah
This salamander may look like a lizard, but it is an amphibian. How can you
tell? It has moist skin and no scales. An endangered species, it lives on a
few mountainsides in the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National
Park.
