70 million years old, Cretaceous
Wyoming
One of the last-surviving dinosaurs, this duckbilled giant grew as long as 13
m (43 ft). This nearly complete skeleton is a "type" fossil--the original
from which the species was named. A fossil skull, also on display, shows that
the plant-eating duckbills had hundreds of teeth arranged in several rows.
