Museum Entrance
The National Mall entrance on Madison Drive is not accessible for visitors with wheelchairs. Please go to the Constitution Ave entrance located on the North side of the building
Parking
On Madison Drive there are three parking spaces at the East end of the building and
two in front of the Museum for people with disabilities. For more parking information please view the accessibility map.
Metro
The Federal Triangle Station will offer the easiest route to the museum's wheelchair
accessible entrance. For more on the metro visit the transit page.
General Information
The Museum has six elevators. Two at each entrance operated by a guard and the other four elevators are self-operated and accessible.
The Johnson IMAX® Theater is equipped with a multichannel infrared system that provides audio amplification and audio description. Headsets are available at the box office. The theater also offers closed-captioning using Rear Window© technology.
Wheelchair Availability
The museum has wheelchairs that may be borrowed, free of charge, for use within the building upon leaving identification.
