Transvolcanic Deermouse

Conservation Status: Least Concern.


These little deermice have been trapped in Mexico's Transvolcanic Mountains at elevations of 1,980 to 3,085 m, but little is known about their lifestyle. Presumably, like other deermice, they are nocturnal and primarily vegetarians, but consume insects occasionally.

Range: 15 to more than 110 g
