Conservation Status: Vulnerable.


Like Nelson's Woodrat, the Bolaños Woodrat may prove to be a subspecies of the White-throated Woodrat. Scientists are working on the relationships of the many species in the genus Neotoma, to determine how many species there are. The Bolaños Woodrat is not thought to be in danger of extinction.

Range: Head and Body: 150-230 mm; Tail: 75-240 mm

Range: 199-450 g
