Angyaq / Boat. The men in this model of a small angyaq wear three kinds of headgear: hunting helmets shaped like seals' heads, spruce root hats with tall tops that indicated wealth, and wooden hunting hats with slanting brims, a style from the Alaska Peninsula. The boats were used for carrying people and supplies, for trading expeditions, and raids against enemy villages.
