The Lewis & Clark as Naturalists database may be searched by species or by the locations where the species were found.

The search is performed on the exact words and/or phrases entered. To search for multiple words and/or phrases, separate them with plus (+) signs. For example, to find prairie dogs and foxes, enter "prairie dog+fox" in the keywords box.

Searches may be refined by including or excluding database elements. A search including Notes will search descriptions, journal entries, and historical notes and may require extra time to process.
