Camponotus floridanus commonly known at the Florida carpenter ant

Camponotus floridanus commonly known at the Florida carpenter ant with mites present about it's face. The mites are the little bumps between the eye and the antennal base. They usually feed on the ants food or on the waxy buildup on the exoskeleton, but some species will feed on the hemolymph (bug blood) and large infestations can cause the ant's death.
