IZ Emu Web Database

The IZ EMu web database now has a new feature: mapping in Google Earth. After you perform a query through Search by Field, you can export the results as a KML file and view them in Google Earth. Each point (Smithsonian balloon pointer) on the Google Earth map will open a window with taxonomic and collection data (and an image, if available). To test the mapping capabilities, click on one of the “Quick Browse Searches” and then click on the menu button “Export as KML.” Open the KML file in Google Earth.
