Caribbean reef shark (Carcharhinus perezii)

Caribbean reef shark (Carcharhinus perezii) by Todd Mintz

Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas
by Todd Mintz, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada

Growing up to ten feet in length, the Caribbean reef shark is one of the largest
predators found in the tropical waters off of Florida, the Bahamas, and south to Brazil.
Their acute senses help them hunt for boney fishes and marine invertebrates, especially
rays, reef fish, and crabs.
