Spine-cheek Anemonefish (Premnas biaculeatus)

Spine-cheek Anemonefish (Premnas biaculeatus) by Todd Mintz

Grand Prize Winner
Spine-cheek Anemonefish (Premnas biaculeatus)
Raja Ampat, Indonesia
Todd Mintz, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada

"While diving in Raja Ampat, I noticed the beauty of the sun streaming through a
patch of mangrove trees into the blue water. These mangroves provide important habitat
for ocean life of numerous species, and I knew it would make a great shot, but I needed a
foreground subject. Then I spotted this spine-cheek clownfish and anemone among the
roots of the trees."
