“My wife and I enjoy sharing our enthusiasm for nature hiking with our two grandsons. On this day we took them on a four-mile ‘birding expedition’. While I was photographing a great blue heron, the oldest boy saw an inviting log and went off to walk across it to test his balance. His younger brother followed. The great blue heron flew off, but I turned just in time to take this shot with the younger boy trying to find his balance.”
