Scientists from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and Israel’s Nature and Parks Authority are collaborating to rescue, propagate, and relocate populations of threatened Iris species in Israel. Iris mariae is found in the western Negev Desert and in the Sinai Desert of Egypt.
