Artifacts of the Roman Era

Throughout the Roman Empire, a standard style in the visual arts emerged, despite some local variations in technique. Sculpture was strongly influenced by—and often directly copied from—classical Greek prototypes. Pottery, glass, and jewelry displayed similar designs across the entire Mediterranean world.
