Chalcolithic Ceramics

During the Chalcolithic period (3900–2400 BC), Cypriots expanded their ceramic expertise enormously, producing sophisticated pieces decorated with vivid designs in red and white. Ownership of these elegant wares was a mark of high status in Chalcolithic villages. They often served as grave goods.
