Make a difference by sharing your time and talents as a volunteer dedicated to the mission of the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History.

Volunteers work either with the public or behind-the-scenes in the Museum's research and administrative departments.  Public volunteers greet visitors, conduct highlight tours of the Museum, and guide visitors in exploring natural and cultural objects.  Behind-the-scenes volunteers handle a variety of tasks for scientists, collections managers, librarians, exhibit developers and administrators, from providing clerical and computer support services to working with collections.
