3rd Conference Circular

Dear Inuit Studies Conference Participants,

The 18th Inuit Studies Conference Committee is pleased to announce that we have received over 250 abstract submissions contributing to more than 60 sessions focused on the eight conference themes. The program is shaping up to be an exceptional presentation of the works of scholars, northern research partners, Inuit leaders, artists and curators.

As a result of the large number of abstracts received, very few slots remain for additional submissions. Should you or your colleagues wish to submit a new abstract, placement in the program will depend upon a vacancy in the appropriate theme and session. In the event that an oral presentation slot is not available, abstracts may be welcomed as a poster presentation.
Letters of acceptance for those abstracts already submitted and placed in the program will be sent within the next 2-3 weeks. A draft program will be posted on the conference website within the upcoming weeks.

We would like to remind you to please REGISTER for the conference to ensure well-organized, confirmed sessions. Early registration ends on September 1st, however we encourage you to register once you receive confirmation of your paper acceptance. You may register by following this link: https://www.mnh.si.edu/arctic/ISC18/forms/registrationForm.cfm

ISC 18 is shaping up to be an exciting meeting. We look forward to seeing you in Washington in October.
