Seeds of Change Garden

RADISHES

Radishes originally grew in cool regions of Asia. They spread to the Mediterranean region, and then were brought to the Americas in the 1500's.

Radishes belong to the mustard family. It is the root of the radish plant that is eaten, and it is eaten both raw and cooked.
