This jumping spider (Cosmophasis bitaeniata) has cloaked itself in the weaver ant (Oecophylla smaragdina) colony’s scent and is passing as one of their own. Now it can prey upon the larvae in the nest undeterred. Ants from other colonies will attack the spider as an enemy ant, not recognizing what it really is. Photo by Mark W.
