Jennifer Clark is a Museum Specialist in the Department of Anthropology at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution. She is research assistant to Dr. Potts. She received her B.S. in Ethology from the University of Georgia (1983). Jennifer studies the fossil and modern microfauna of Olorgesailie, and conducts the wet and dry sieving operations for fossils and stone artifacts. The rest of the year she runs the Human Origins Lab, helps to look after the Fossil Hominid Cast Collection at the Smithsonian & illustrates the scientific publications and presentations for the Human Origins Program. She also illustrated Rick's book Humanity's Descent: The Consequences of Ecological Instability.
In her spare time she enjoys drawing, music, being an amateur naturalist and spending time with her daughter, Jessica, and their two cats and dog.
