The woman (first photograph) was sickly, crouching in a corner. Once
she got dressed and Iemanjá possessed her, she was like a totally
different person. She looked like a big wedding cake, with all those layers
of white. You are lucky if you get to see these special moments.
Mãe Stella:
This photograph (first photograph) shows a certain person dancing with her eyes closed.
It is very beautiful, very aesthetic, but that cannot touch the depths of
Iemanjá. It does not touch the essence of the forces of nature.
They remain mysterious. |
