Justice
1993; ironwood
Lent by Bruce M. and Ann K. Haight

In this unique plaque, Lamidi makes a political commentary about the 1993 Nigerian election. He combines traditional Yoruba and Western symbols. The priest/judge holds Ogun’s sword and Sango’s double-headed axe and he wears a blindfold, a Western symbol of justice.
