The double-headed axe, sacred emblem
of Sango, the god
of thunder, crowns this figure. She holds a rooster and a ram, animals
sacrificed during religious rites. Lamidis steel chisels produced
fine detailing on the textiles, the animals, and the woman's hairstyle.
